In order to promote the expansion of tourism in Moletai region and develop the general level of tourism service, the being completed a new leisure complex of ‘Belvilis’ by Bebrusai Lake was provided with a support, a bit larger than 3.1 million Lt.
‘Belvilis’ is one of Lithuanian tourism objects that were provided with funding from the EU structural fund resources by the Ministry of Economy in June. Lithuanian support agency received 86 totally applications for the assessment of projects totally. Its applicants sought to receive the EU funding for the development projects concerning different kinds of tourism. Recently has been delivered support to10 different projects. Totally that includes more than 66 million Lt.
‘‘Belvilis’ obtained the EU support as a new tourism centre that will promote the development of leisure/recreation industry in Moletai region as well as will provide with the highest level service. Moreover, in this region, it will be one of minor rest-houses that will work all year round’, claimed Lina Vengriene, the director of ‘Belvilis’.
The construction and mounting of ‘Belvilis’, which is totally 60 kilometers from Vilnius, will totally cost about 10 million Lt. That is the largest investment into an object of such a kind in the whole Highlands.
‘Belvilis’ as well as other nine projects that have received the EU support, have been selected under the program ‘The design and development of accommodation, conference and entertainment objects as well as the application of cultural and historical heritage for tourism needs’. The applications might have been provided to the Ministry of Economy till the middle of February, 2005.
The complex that is to be opened next to Bebrusai Lake is one of the most modern Lithuanian out of the town complexes, where the business events will be combined with a peaceful rest in the open country. In ‘Belvilis’ that is located in 1.5-hecter area on the woody bank of the lake, there can stay about 80 guests at onetime that will be provided with a range of service – from comfortable rooms, modern conference halls with the newest technologies to different water entertainment and flying by an air balloon.
‘We aim at showing that it is possible to work and rest in Lithuania not worse than abroad. Thus we have designed a cozy and up-to date complex allocated to business and relaxation. We will suggest our guests enjoying the most modern technologies and the peace of nature on the edge of Labanoras forest. I am sure that such a combination is necessary for people, and they will appreciate it’, said L.Vengriene. According to her, the orientation will be directed towards the customers with various needs, who during their presence in nature are willing, much more than just to barbecue and have some beer.
The basic four-storey guest building is adapted to business needs: there is installed a 70-place conference hall with one of the first electronic boards in Lithuania, VIP negotiation room with 10-12 places, underground garage for 16 cars, observation terrace and a restaurant. In this building there is also a complex of pool and sauna complex as well as14 residential rooms.
Besides, ‘Belvilis’ complex will consist of 8 separate cottages: four of them will be bigger two-storey ones (in each of them there will be 3 rooms and a small kitchen and a fireplace), 3 – smaller cottages (there will be 2 rooms, a kitchen or a fireplace in them) and one extremely luxuriously furnished ‘Romantic’ cottage that e.g. will be allocated to the newlyweds. All cottages will have fire places, wicker Italian furniture, thin crystal TVs, and in the ‘Romantic’ cottage there will be a bath of Jacuzzi.
According to L.Vengriene, there have been created a lot of versatile water and land entertainment in ‘Belvilis’ the guest house has got an own motor launch, pedalos (water bikes), boats, special inflatable suits for the swimming while being pulled by a motor launch, water skis, a snowmobile and bicycles. In the patio, among pines there is an outdoor stage for concerts and other events. Besides guests will be offered to fly an air balloon.
